The primary use of this information is to verify customer identity, determine program eligibility and benefits, permit the servicing of financial aid, and certify attendance and status at an approved higher education institution. Information We Share

We do not disclose any personal information about you, whether you are a current or former customer, to anyone, except as permitted by law. We do not sell or otherwise share information about you with outside marketers.

Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), UHEAA will not knowingly collect or retain information submitted by children under the age of 13. If we learn that we unknowingly collected personally identifying information from children under 13 years of age, we will immediately take all reasonable measures to delete the information from our computer systems and all other data systems.

UHEAA shares your non-public information in the following instances:

For our everyday business purposes – such as to process your transactions, maintain your account(s), or report to credit bureaus, etc.;
Consistent with student loan industry practice, we share your personal information with industry aggregators for the benefit of students. Such industry aggregators include the National Student Clearinghouse, and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS);

Information Security

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we employ management, operational and technical security measures that comply with federal law and regulations to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information. These measures include computer safeguards, access controls, data storage procedures, secured facilities, and periodic testing of safeguards. Your Personal Information may be processed by us in the country where it was collected as well as other countries (including the United States) where laws regarding processing of Personal Information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.

Regarding Children

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the RepayCentsiblyâ„¢ service and we do not intentionally collect or maintain Personal Information from those who are under 13 years old. Protecting the privacy of children is very important to us. Thus, if we obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove that user’s Personal Information from our databases. We recommend that children between the ages of 13 and 18 obtain their parent’s permission before submitting information over the internet. Personal Information

In general, we collect Personal Information that you submit to us voluntarily through the financial aid award package from your higher education institution or the RepayCentsibly™ website opt-in page.  When you personalize your profile and use the features of RepayCentsibly™, we will collect any information you voluntarily provide, and we may also request optional information to support your use of RepayCentsibly™, such as your year of birth, gender and other demographic information. We collect information in the form of the content that you submit during your use of  the RepayCentsibly™ service, such as photos, comments, ratings and other information you choose to submit.   If you choose to sign up to receive information about products or services that may be of interest to you, we will collect your email address and all related information. Additionally, we collect any information that you voluntarily enter, including Personal Information, into any postings, comments, or forums within the RepayCentsibly™ website community.

Personal Information from Other Sources

We may receive Personal Information about you from other sources with which you have registered, companies who we have partnered with Higher Education institutions or other third parties. We may associate this information with the other Personal Information we have collected about you.

E-mail and E-mail Addresses

If you send an e-mail to us, or fill out our “Contact Us” form through the RepayCentsiblyâ„¢ website, we will collect your e-mail address and the full content of your e-mail, including attached files, and other information you provide.

Information Collected Via Technology

As you use the RepayCentsibly™ service, certain information may also be passively collected and stored on our or our service providers’ server logs, including your Internet protocol address, browser type, and operating system.
